At BKL, we always rely on state-of-the-art crane technology – and in 2020, we were able to offer the very first Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 for rent in Germany. But with us, you can count not only on our many years of experience with these machines, but also on our well-coordinated teams of operations, technical support staff, BF3 and truck drivers, as well as our experienced mobile crane operators. They are highly trained to operate the 700 tonne crane, maneuver the machine safely, and carry out your lifting operations reliably. In addition, BKL is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and SCCP.

Infrastructure projects – flexible use.
Right from the LTM 1650’s first deployment, the BKL team impressed with their expertise and ability to find solutions during the positioning and lifting operations for the demolition of an old railroad bridge. You can see impressive footage in the video from Liebherr Ehingen.
Heavy-duty projects.
The LTM 1650 was deployed as part of the construction of the new Terminal 3 at Fraport. For the new Sky Line monorail, two large cranes from BKL lifted the first track sections onto the supports. To accomplish this, the BKL Frankfurt team equipped the LTM 1650-8.1 with 155 tonnes ballast and an LTM 1450-8.1 with 134 tonnes ballast. Together, they performed a 200-tonne tandem lift.
Crane assemblies – even in confined inner-city locations.
For the assembly of a TLS 80 20T heavy-duty crane at Munich Central Station, BKL South equipped the LTM 1650-8.1 with a luffing jib approximately 64 metres long. Due to limited space, the BKL team installed the luffing jib of the mobile crane “in mid-air” using two assistant cranes.
Special lifts with our heavyweight crane.
On behalf of ITF Innovative Technical Fabrics GmbH, the LTM 1650-8.1 hoisted a new membrane onto the Radom Raisting. BKL equipped the large crane with 155 tonnes ballast, a 56-metre luffing jib, and Y-bracing. This allowed the crane to reach the required hook height of nearly 100 metres and successfully install the new membrane.
