BKL invests in 90 new cranes.
Munich, 6 June 2025 – BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH has invested in several innovations showcased at Bauma: The largest, in the truest sense of the word, is the 1,100-tonne-metre giant TLS 1100 50T from Sáez Cranes. Another new addition is the LTM 1400-6.1, which was presented in BKL’s livery at the Liebherr stand. With these two new models, the crane specialists have ordered a total of 90 new machines. This gives BKL customers an even larger selection of over 700 cranes to hire or buy in Germany and Europe.
New 1,100-tonne-metre crane: TLS 1100 50T.
Presented by Sáez Cranes at Bauma, the new TLS 1100 50T can lift nearly 11 tonnes over a distance of 86 metres. The giant lifts loads up to 50 tonnes and has a maximum hook height of 92 metres as well as a maximum radius of up to 86 metres in 1-fall operation. Many interested parties visited the flat-top tower crane in the Outdoor Exhibition Area south and spoke to Sáez representatives and BKL crane experts.
In total, BKL is purchasing five additional heavy-duty cranes in the 1,000-tonne-metre class. Thus, the company rents out more than 40 heavy-duty cranes ranging from 500 to 1,100 tonne-metres within its fleet of over 700 construction and mobile cranes.
State-of-the-art mobile crane technology: LTM 1400-6.1
BKL has also acquired new machines for its mobile crane rental division. One of two LTM 1400-6.1 cranes was displayed in BKL livery at Liebherr’s stand at the world’s leading trade fair. With a telescopic boom of 70 metres and a maximum lifting height of 120 metres, this versatile 6-axle crane is the smallest crane with a Y-telescopic boom guying system. This 400-tonne crane has a maximum radius of 96 metres. Its outstanding performance characteristics provide extra lifting capacity, efficiency and flexibility.
Investment in 90 new cranes for BKL customers.
Including the two new machines showcased at Bauma, a total of 90 new cranes will be added to the BKL crane fleet. The crane specialists are investing in 25 new Liebherr mobile cranes to update their mobile fleet with the latest technology at nine locations. In the construction crane segment, BKL is expanding its heavy-duty offering and has purchased a total of 65 new tower cranes – including several Liebherr 172 EC-B in the top-slewing category. In the bottom-slewing segment, the orders comprise roofers’ cranes such as the CM 301, as well as several 91 K, 61 K, and 43 K from the new K-series. Additionally, BKL has acquired more of the highly sought-after, larger bottom-slewing cranes, such as the 81 K.1 and 125 K. The new cranes are expanding BKL’s portfolio of over 1,000 machines and replace cranes that have been sold.
